The convent of Sant Bartomeu of Bellpuig, which dates from 1507, is an exceptional example of the transition from gothic to renaissance architecture. The mausoleum dedicated to its founder, Ramon Folch III of Cardona-Anglesola, is one of the best renaissance works in Catalonia. It was made by the Napolitano Merliano da Nola and constructed using white marble which was transported to the convent from Carrara. However, to see it today, it is necessary to visit the parish church of Bellpuig.
