Llocs d'Interès

The basement of La Paeria, the seat of Lleida City Council, guards an important part of the city’s history. Down below the patio, you can take a leap back in time and discover a part of Ilerda, the former Roman city. Its historic remains include the foundations of a building dating from the time of Caesar Augustus whose great blocks of stone show the importance of the original construction. This may have remained unfinished or been affected by rises in the level of the River Segre.
